Membership Tiers

  • General

    General Members are the core of AMP and represent companies in the business of producing/creating music. This tier is for you if your company makes music primarily for advertising including for television, film, trailers, video games, and other visual media. Pricing for your company is based on annual company revenue selected when you join and reported on an honor system.


    Benefits:

    - Become part of a premier network of ad music industry professionals supporting one another through community building, knowledge sharing, and collective advocacy for our industry.

    - Receive invites to AMP hosted events and panels, some of which are for Members only.

    - Gain access to our unique Member Portal of Knowledge Base Documents, FAQs, and Guidelines. 

    - Benefit from and participate in advocacy and representation efforts for industry best practices.

    - Enjoy discounts from select Vendor Partners.

    - AMP Awards submission discounts.

    - AMP Awards tickets discounts.

    - Get added to the AMP Member Directory hosted on the AICP Website

    - Participate in select AICP benefits such as invitations to weekly town halls, virtual panels, hotel partner offers, and more. 

    - Committees: General Members may join committees focused on specific initiatives such as PRO advocacy and Inclusion efforts.

    - Board Seats: General Members may be invited to and can join the National and Local Boards as seats become available. Boards lead decision-making processes for the organization and geographical areas.

    - General Member Meeting: Each General Member Company gets one vote for each item voted on during our annual General Membership Meeting. This meeting is where we ratify organizational wide initiative as well as the Local and National Boards.

    Cost:

    - Revenue < $250k: $299/yr.

    - Revenue between $250k and $500k: $499/yr.

    - Revenue between $500k and $1MM: $999/yr.

    - Revenue > $1MM: $1,499/yr.

  • Associate

    The Associate Member Tier is specifically designed for companies that provide services in support of the Ad music and sound production industry. Namely Publishers, Labels, Sync Agents, E&O insurance providers, PRO’s and royalties collections, audio post-production houses, as well as suppliers of facilities, equipment, raw materials, repairs and more. Put simply, if your company works in the Ad music industry but does not specifically produce/create music this is the tier for you.

    Benefits:

    - Become part of a premier network of ad music industry professionals supporting one another through community building, knowledge sharing, and collective advocacy for our industry.

    - Receive invites to AMP hosted events and panels, some of which are for Members only.

    - Gain access to unique Member Portal of Knowledge Base Documents, FAQs, and Guidelines. 

    - Benefit from and participate in advocacy and representation efforts for industry best practices.

    - Enjoy discounts from select Vendor Partners.

    - AMP Awards submission discounts.

    - AMP Awards tickets discounts.

    - Get added to the AMP Member Directory hosted on the AICP Website

    - Participate in select AICP benefits such as invitations to weekly town halls, virtual panels, hotel partner offers, and more. 

    - Committees: Associate Members may join committees focused on specific initiatives such as PRO advocacy and Inclusion efforts.

    - Board Seats: Associate Members may be invited to and can join Local Boards. The number of seats allowed is limited to 25% of the Local Board as the remaining seats are reserved for General Members. National Board seats are reserved exclusively for General Members. Local Boards lead decision-making processes for their geographical areas.


    Cost:

    - Revenue < $1MM: $299/yr.

    - Revenue between $1MM and $5MM: $499/yr.

    - Revenue > $5MM: $999/yr.

  • Individual

    If you’re a freelance music producer, composer, supervisor, or sound designer not affiliated or on staff with a larger company and have worked in the ad music industry. Don’t go it alone! We’ve got your back and can help you build your career.

    Benefits:

  • Student

    If you’re a young musician or professional looking to get into the ad and media music business, this is a great way to find out more about this career and to make contacts.

    Benefits:

    - Connect with experts in the field of ad music and sonic branding

    - Pose questions to AMP leadership in the “Contact Us”

    - Educational resources, state-of-the industry panels, workshops and webinars insights and news not available to the public

    - Note that this is a non-voting membership, discount codes are not available, and Member Portal is not accessible for Student Memberships.

  • AICP

    Our affiliation with the AICP enhances AMP’s ability to function effectively. They provide bookkeeping and bill payments, membership admin / database handling, email list administration, centralizing communication dissemination, access to post-production industry and industry wide contact lists, legal counsel (attorney retainer), our physical headquarters, use of facilities, additional member benefits, lobbying on AMP’s behalf, a line of credit, and most importantly consultation and advice from Matt Milller.
